App Privacy

This policy covers the OFFLine private pilot in Marin County and San Francisco, including profiles, gatherings, Places and practice features. It is separate from the public website notice and from the privacy policies of hosting, sign-in, map and calendar providers.

• Account information: an account identifier and verified email used for sign-in, access and host recognition.
• Profile: first name, general area, adult confirmation, friendship goals, interests, availability and conversation languages. Bio, departure time and photo are optional.
• Plans and choices: saved ideas and places, RSVPs, sharing choices, suggestions, hosted gatherings and timestamps.
• Practice activity: sample bookings, connections and scripted messages used only for the walkthrough.
• Help requests: the request, response, status and dates used to address questions and concerns.
• Technical data: providers may process IP address, device, browser, cookie and security-log information needed to operate and protect the service.

Profile photos are optional. The app creates a square JPEG crop before upload and does not use facial recognition. It uses the general area you choose, not live GPS. Map links pass a meeting destination to Apple Maps or Google Maps; those providers control any location permission.

Your profile is not a public directory. When you RSVP and agree to group sharing, the gathering group and hosts may see your first name, photo, area, bio and applicable interests. Email, goals, availability, languages and departure time are not shown in attendee lists. Approved suggestions and gathering details are visible to invited members. The organizer can review proposals and private help requests. Practice chats are simulations and are not delivered to other members.

OFFLine uses OpenAI Sites and sign-in services plus Cloudflare-hosted database and photo storage. These providers process information needed to supply and secure the service. OFFLine may disclose information when legally required, to address a concrete safety or security concern, or with your permission. Venue and map links lead to services with their own policies.

The app has no advertising pixels or advertising SDKs. OFFLine does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the app does not track activity across unrelated websites.

Sign-in and hosting providers may use cookies required for authentication and security. The app can cache its interface for home-screen use, but it does not intentionally cache profiles, photos, messages or API responses for offline access. Sign out on shared devices and protect any data export you download.

You can review or correct profile answers, replace or remove a photo, cancel an RSVP, download your app data, send a private request, or delete active app data. Deletion removes your profile, photo, preferences, RSVPs, practice records, connections, messages and help requests from active app storage. It does not delete a separate provider account, revoke an app invitation, erase provider security logs or backups, or remove copies another person already made.

Records are kept while useful for the private pilot, account, plans and support history, until you remove them or the pilot closes. Sign-in, account-scoped access checks and restricted photo delivery help protect the information, but no service can promise perfect security. Please share only what is needed for meeting up.

California law may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete and obtain information about uses and disclosures, and—when applicable—to opt out of sale or advertising sharing. OFFLine offers access, correction and deletion controls to every participant without a fee or retaliation and may use proportionate verification to protect the account.
