Private pilot

OFFLine is a private pilot for in-person connection in Marin County and San Francisco. These terms apply to the member app, profiles, real RSVPs, gathering proposals and practice features. The App Privacy policy explains data handling and is not blanket consent to share your profile.

Who the pilot is for

Participants must be at least 18, use their own authorized invitation and account, and provide accurate information. Do not impersonate another person or transfer access. An invitation is not identity verification or a background check, and OFFLine does not conduct background checks in this pilot.

What the app provides

The app helps invited participants create profiles, discover public meeting places, propose gatherings and RSVP. Approved gatherings have real RSVPs. Features clearly labeled practice—including sample people and sample chat—are simulations. OFFLine does not currently provide emergency monitoring, professional guiding or guaranteed event notifications. A place listing does not mean the venue is booked, affiliated with OFFLine or guaranteed suitable.

Costs, plans and cancellations

The pilot has no OFFLine subscription or booking fee and no automatic renewal. Participants pay any separate transportation, parking, admission, food or venue costs directly. Join only plans you expect to attend and cancel promptly if plans change. Hosts may change or cancel a plan for weather, safety, availability or another practical reason. Check the latest details before leaving; an RSVP does not guarantee attendance by others.

Participating outdoors

Hikes and other activities can involve uneven surfaces, weather, traffic, wildlife, limited cell service and injury. Review the route, pace, duration and access needs, decide whether the activity suits you, bring suitable supplies and follow park rules. You may decline or leave an activity. Do not rely on the app for medical advice, rescue or emergency help; call 911 in an emergency. This description does not waive legal duties or nonwaivable rights.

Hosting and places

Use public meeting places and accurate details. Do not post private home addresses or another person’s information. Hosts should confirm venue permission, opening hours, route, finish time, accessibility, known costs, weather plan and any required authorization or insurance. In-app approval is community review, not a permit, inspection or professional safety certification.

Respect and consent

Harassment, threats, discrimination, stalking, scams, spam, unwanted solicitation and sharing private information are prohibited. Respect a no, a declined connection and a cancelled plan. Ask separately before taking or posting photos, recording conversations or exchanging contact details. An RSVP or profile photo is not permission to use someone in marketing or merchandise. Do not scrape the app or bypass access controls.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photos and writing and must have permission to upload them. You allow OFFLine and its hosting providers to store, resize and display that material only to operate and support the features you choose. This does not authorize resale, advertising or promotional use of your likeness.

Help, moderation and leaving

Use Privacy & Help for a concern, accessibility request or question. The organizer may remove inappropriate content, cancel unsafe plans or restrict access for a documented rule violation or safety need, consistent with applicable law. The inbox is not continuously monitored. You may cancel RSVPs or delete app data at any time; app-data deletion is separate from deleting a provider account or removing invitation access.

Service limits and your rights

This is an evolving pilot and features may be unavailable or contain mistakes. Confirm essential meeting details with the host. Participants, independent hosts, venues and map providers remain responsible for their own conduct and services. These terms do not remove OFFLine’s legal responsibilities, limit nonwaivable consumer rights, or require mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or blanket indemnity.

California law, updates and contact

California and applicable federal law govern these terms without displacing mandatory protections. If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the rest applies only to the extent permitted. Material changes will be dated and presented clearly before they govern future use. Questions may be sent to hello@offlinewithus.com.
